API Reference
Authenticate with a Bearer token. All requests must use HTTPS.
POST /api/v2/device/sync
Open a persistent sync channel for a device. The connection stays alive and streams updates bidirectionally.
GET /api/v2/status
Returns service health and current API version. No auth required.

Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the StreamSync API and related services provided by StreamSync ("we", "us", "our").
1. Acceptance. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your API keys confidential.
3. Acceptable Use. You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer the Service
- Exceed your plan rate limits intentionally
- Resell access to the Service without authorization
4. Data. You retain ownership of your data. We process it only to provide the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details.
5. Availability. We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance.
6. Termination. Either party may terminate at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.
7. Liability. The Service is provided "as is". Our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Changes. We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Privacy Policy
StreamSync respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Data we collect:
- Account information (email, company name)
- API usage logs (request counts, error rates, latency metrics)
- Device metadata transmitted through the sync channel (encrypted in transit)
How we use it:
- To provide and maintain the Service
- To monitor usage and enforce rate limits
- To send important service updates (no marketing without consent)
Data retention: Usage logs are retained for 90 days. Account data is deleted within 30 days of account closure.
Third parties: We do not sell your data. We use infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, CDN) who process data on our behalf under strict agreements.
Security: All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). We conduct regular security reviews.
Your rights: You can request data export or deletion at any time through your account dashboard.
